Positive: Ideal location night before ferry to Arran. Ok parking. 15 min walk to the excellent Scotts bar and restaurant. Quiet with good tv tea and coffee fridge and good shower. We felt secure.
Negative: Long flight of steps for for those with mobility issues. Poor lighting to do your makeup. Bit of a stale whiff in loo but not serious.

Very comfortable en suite room in a central location in Troon
Positive: Very comfortable room with en suite in a central location in Troon. Very handy for the ferry terminal. Check in was very straightforward. Room was quiet at night. Comfortable bed.
Negative: A light in the alcove where the kettle was would be helpful as that was quite a dark corner.

Marketed as high end not up to scratch
Positive: Good central
Location but very noisy from 5 am as across from industrial dumping bins
Negative: Loo seat damaged and very loose - middle window wouldn’t close so chilly in reducing tempatures -not new aware of building works below in restaurant prior to booking noisy with drilling - Carpark full of severe potholes
