Clarke Cottage Guest House - Twin Room

Goede overnachtingsplek voor bezoek Edinburgh en Dunfermline Positive: Redelijk ruime kamer, badkamer prima met fijne douche. Gezamenlijke zitruimte voor ontbijt is prima. Treinstation richting Edinburgh op korte loopafstand. Negative: Smal bed ( 140 breed ). Ontbijt moesten wij zelf regelen. Moesten zelf servies en bestek afwassen maar er was geen theedoek om de afwas af te drogen. Deuren met cijferslot is niet echt handig, want werkte soms wat lastig met intoetsen, vooral de buitendeur in het donker. Niet hele rustig locatie want in de buurt van industriegebied.

Clean, comfortable Positive: Clean, comfortable , enough touches to make our short stay ok. Small fridge with a selection of teas, coffee, etc. The communal kitchen area was clean, nice touch having a selection of eggs, bread, milk and breakfast items available. Early check in was given. Negative: Upon arrival was slightly concerned there was a big green skip and works van directly in front of the cottage, looking a bit untidy. Took a minute to figure out the parking situation, no clear signs on arrival. Reread booking info so parking had to be to the front of the cottage so beside the skip and the work van. Was a bit tight for space. Key codes for entering the building and room, a bit faffy., Took a minute to establish what room was ours, no number on door or surrounds, some might state it would be obvious as all other rooms had door numbers. Minor detail but would make arrival better. Main entrance and room doors were rather heavy and sticky, needed a good slam to shut properly, too noisy in my opinion when all other rooms are so close together and at 6.30am. Entering door codes each time coming in and out also,was a bit faffy. We did hear other guests coming and going. Have to agree with some of the other reviews, perhaps advertisement is a bit misleading in regards to rooms offered. Its not a cottage, its serviced apartments/rooms. Not sure would rebook.

Delizioso. Atmosfera da vero cottage scozzese. Positive: ottimo Servizio, check in e check out semplici e in assoluta autonomia. La struttura è bella e ben tenuta, pulizia e servizi eccellenti. Utile avere un auto ma comunque è vicina alla Stazione Ferroviaria raggiungibile a piedi. Negative: nulla

Positive: Very nice and clean cottage, very convenient right next to the train station, so easy to get to Edinburgh. There is not much around, so don't expect a nice little coffee place. It was also very convenient to do the check-in with a digital code. Lovely stay, thank you!

Exceptional property, comfortable and clean and the communication from the hosts was clear and precise. Positive: Well what can I say other than it’s a beautifully newly renovated property. The whole property and rooms are extremely clean, tidy and comfortable. The in house amenities were more than adequate with everything you need to enjoy your stay. There is ample off-road parking and the local shopping centre is a mere 6 minutes drive away. The train station is a short 8 minutes walk and has direct trains to Edinburgh City Centre. There is a pub that serves food 3 minutes walk away if you don’t want to eat at your accommodation. However, there is a communal dining room if you wish to order in! I would definitely give this place a 5 star review. I stayed as I was on business and I loved it that much, I have already booked again for next week!! Negative: N/A
